Free Comic Book Day was great! I had my own little placard with my name on it and sat there, selling and signing books for the day.
I sold 4 copies of Hub City Survival, which I deemed a great success, seeing that it is neither a comic book nor free!! Thanks to those of you who came out to have your books signed, as well! I feel very much appreciated and humbled by the success I had that day. I am immeasurably thankful that anyone would read my works, let alone the amount of people who already have.
That said, I have sold nearly 100 copies of Hub City Survival at this time. Nearly 100! That is incredible! I also will be donating some signed copies to Animaritime for them to use. Keep an eye out for them when you are at the convention this summer.
Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to attend the convention myself, unless circumstances allow me to leave my job... which certainly will not happen! It's nice to imagine, though, and maybe I will be able to go to the convention for part of Sunday. I hope so.
I will be unable to attend at all on the Friday because I'm going to be in a concert for Canada Day! If you are in the Fundy National Park area (or would like to be) for July 1st, I will be singing with the band I am in, Rosedale. We'll be celebrating Canada Day in that fashion. So, if you're not coming to the convention, you're certainly welcome to come watch the show! It will be free and hopefully our CD will be released by then. I think there will be cake, too, but I could be wrong...
That reminds me that I have been hard at work on a new project. I have been designing and maintaining a website for my father, Allan Cooper, who is known locally for his poetry and music. Check the site out! I'm really pleased with the layout and I hope you like it, too.
That said, I should probably make myself a website sometime...
By the way, Hub City Survival readers. I am considering annotating a copy of Hub City Survival and selling it on Etsy or eBay for a slightly higher price. Would anyone be interested in this? If so, would Etsy be better, or eBay? How much would YOU, personally, pay for a fully annotated copy of a book?
I would also like to do a little Hub City Survival zombie tour one day. Ideally we would be driving through New Brunswick and looking at places where key plot points of Hub City Survival took place! I have no idea when, if ever, this would take place, but I'm curious to see who would be interested in attending something like that.

3 days left to meet the goal!
Hey friends and watchers!
Mushroom and Anchovy's campaign is almost up, and it's starting to look like it might just come to fruition! We’re at the home stretch. The last few days. The final countdown, if you will. With less than 20 preorders to go at time of writing, I'm starting to feel excited and hopeful! I still have work to do, though, to get to that number.
Thanks (again!) to local radio hosts Scotty and Tony of XL96 for blogging about Mushroom and Anchovy (again!). These two have been supportive of my work for years. Thanks again, guys!
This coming Thursday, I’m going to be starting a new initiative over on my Faceboo
Mushroom and Anchovy's campaign is ending soon!
With only ten days remaining for the Mushroom and Anchovy book campaign to reach fruition, I'm reaching out everywhere to try and meet my goal. At the time of writing this, I have 91 preorders left to reach full funding. If you need a little more convincing, here's... me!
I'm also holding a contest! You can win a $50 Amazon gift card! You get an entry just for preordering, then an extra one for every preorder, extra entries for Facebook shares of the post, and more. All the details are in the pinned post over on my Facebook page.
At this time, we have to turn all this pressure into diamonds. And like the treasure hunters in this book, we
Hello, it is I
It's been a very long time since I've updated my DA, but today seems like a good day to start again.
LIFE IS WEIRD
I won't go into too much detail about why I haven't posted anything, but I will say that life got weird, I pretty much stopped doing art, I quit my job, went back to school, graduated, had a baby (who's now 2 and a half), and now... here I am, getting back into art again and juggling the life of a part-time comic shop employee/(mostly) stay-at-home mom/writer/art-y type person/comicker.
YEP, I HAVE A COMIC NOW
I started a webcomic while I was on mat leave, and it turns 2 on June 24th! I don't know why I didn't think to post a
Fall, Tumblr, cooking and Population: 1
Hey dudes! Hope everyone is doing well!
It seems like Mother Nature has decided that September coming means that fall is here. Suddenly the weather is cooler, the days are shorter and the leaves are already starting to change colour. This has put me in full-on baking mode. Cookies and biscuits for now, and I believe there are squares and perhaps a pie in my future.
WHO HAS TUMBLR? I must know because, though I've had it for about 2 years, just now I'm getting really into it. Mine is http://nekonezume.tumblr.com. Give me a follow and I'll follow back, or leave your link/username here!
Brad and I moved into a house back in May, which was a s
